Worship Schedule:
We have Sunday school for all ages at 9:00 am. Worship at 10:30 am and coffee and fellowship before and after. Our classes include:
Elementary - Using the "Rock Solid" curriculum. The first unit is “God Calls a People” with stories of God’s call to Abraham, Abraham and Lot, Isaac and Rebekah.
Youth - They are starting the season off with a DVD discussion series, “Good God Theater, Act 1: Old Testament” featuring humorous performances of Bible stories. Some Sundays will be devoted to mission and service projects, crafts and games.
Connections (young adult) - This class meets on the second and fourth Sundays of every month, and is led by Rev. Mark. The class is open to High School ages and young adults and discusses contemporary issues from a biblical perspective.
Adult Class - A traditional study class, viewing "Christianity's Family Tree" by Adam Hamilton
Conversation Cafe Class - A casual adult class that deals with contemporary issues with a particular emphasis on social justice.
Calendar of Worship Events:
New Years and Epiphany - Sunday, January 1st - 10:30 a.m. Come and celebrate the arrival of the wise men at Bethlehem and the beginning of a new year as we celebrate Holy Communion. All are welcome.
Baptism of the Lord's Day - Sunday, January 8th - 10:30 a.m. This is a time to remember our baptism as we discuss this sacrament and renew our baptisms. All are welcome.
Human Relations/Spirit Sunday - January 15th - 10:30 a.m. Celebrate and renew our commitment to inclusiveness, diversity, and Christian love, as we consider again the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights leaders; and recommit ourselves to spreading love and peace throughout our world.
Ash Wednesday - Wednesday, February 22nd at 7:30 pm.
Enter into the season of Lent with the Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion. All ware welcome.
Communion is celebrated the First Sunday of each month.
Penny Sunday is the third Sunday of each month. This is an extra offering to support a designated community project or special mission. The January's offering on 1/15 will support the United Methodist North Coast District In-Gathering, which provides emergency funds for those in need.
