Digital Literacy Class for Seniors

Free 16-week class starting soon at North Olmsted UMC

Informational Meeting on Sunday, August 4, 12 p.m. in classroom 7

Digital Literacy has become a necessary life-skill, as technology continues to permeate into every nook-and-cranny of our lives. Join Tak Sato, Founder of locally based 501(c)(3) nonprofit Center for Aging in the Digital World, as he talks about their free 16-week Discover Digital Literacy!

Program offered to seniors 60 and older, for the first time at North Olmsted United Methodist Church starting in late August. Cohorts will embark on a journey of discovery through hands-on learning utilizing supplied tablets. If you are interested, please attend the Connectedness CONVO information session taking place on Sunday, August 4, right after the worship service, in classroom 7.

Thursday, August 22-Sunday, August 25

We will have a booth at the North Olmsted Homecoming Festival this year, sticking with the carnival theme of last year’s Son-Fest Carnival. We will have a few games, crafts, face painting, clowns and balloons for people to enjoy as they pass by our booth. We will also hand out fliers promoting our congregation’s ministries. The festival runs from 6 p.m. on Thursday through 6 p.m. on Sunday.

We will need at least two people to run the booth at all times during these days and will ask for people to volunteer in two-hour increments. We hope this is a fun way to get the community to notice our church and see all that we do in service and love of Christ. Please email Wendy at if you would like to sign up or join the community!
