Rev. Mark Steiger holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Religion from Baldwin-Wallace College, a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies with an emphasis in Biblical Studies from John Carroll University, and a Master of Divinity with a specialization in Christian Spirituality from The Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Prior to joining with the people at North Olmsted UMC, Rev. Mark served for seven years as the Associate Pastor of Church of the Saviour in Cleveland Heights, where he led worship, bible study, and youth ministry as well as sharing the visitation and administrative duties of the church. He comes to ministry as a second career after spending three years as a music educator and 24 years with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority where he served as Manager of Technical Support with the Information Technology Department. Mark and his wife Virginia live in Olmsted Falls, Ohio.

Sharon has lived in North Olmsted and attended NOUMC for 20+ years, during which she has served on various committees and taught Sunday School. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Kent State University and has worked in retail merchandising for many years. She likes doing creative things and she hopes that she brings that creativity to our church. Her husband Wade is a retired High School teacher and her daughter, Leslie, is a teacher in Columbus, Ohio.

Music Director

Robert Judge is the director of music at North Olmsted United Methodist Church. He is also the music director of the drama program at Avon Lake High School and has recently completed his first season as a conducting apprentice with the Berkshire Choral Festival in Massachusetts. In addition, he is a chorister with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and has also participated in performances at the Cincinnati May Festival and with The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. Prior to his appointment at NOUMC, he served as the choral director and organist for two years at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Bay Village. Past positions include chorus master for the Opera Theatre Workshop Program at Cleveland State University and professional chorister with the Cathedral Choir of St. John the Evangelist in Cleveland. He is anticipated to graduate in December 2011 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Cleveland State University.

Christian Education Director

Wendy Cooper graduated from CCC in 1991 with an Associate of Arts degree. She moved to N. Olmsted in 2003, and has been a Member of NOUMC since 2004. She teaches Sunday School and VBS, and has been a stay at home mom since 1998. She is beginning her 7th year of Bible study through BSF International. She is also a preschool and portrait photographer, and has her own business doing that. Wendy's interests include photography, scrapbooking, reading.

Wendy's husband Bill is a sales rep and has recently started his own business. She has two beautiful daughters, Emily and Amy, who keep her busy with school activities and driving them to dance. Wendy is thankful to God for this opportunity to help others learn about Jesus!
