As I write this article, the soup sale is in progress.  The profit for this sale goes directly to the general fund of the church.  The amount will be in the next Agape. This month we will be filling the Easter Baskets to go to Laura's Home, the women's shelter.  The youth will fill the baskets during the Sunday School Hour on March 16th, but the UMW will add any items brought in later that morning.  Items needed include baskets, grass filler, small toiletry articles, toys, and other useful items.      Examples include, but are not limited to: soaps, tooth brushes, tooth paste, creams, make-up, hair spray, shampoo, conditioners, lip balm, hair accessories, small stuffed animals, cars, dolls, and other toys, coloring and puzzle books, pencils and pens, There can be NO candy or food items.  We need to come up with 45-50 baskets with the remainder coming from Rockport UMC and Fairview Grace UMC in this cooperative effort.  If you'd rather give a check, we'll shop for the items we're short on.  This is a fun way for all of us to help make some women and children's Easter a little brighter.

Looking forward a month, there's lots going on in April.  We'll be looking for your Dean's Plant Sale Orders, as well as USO Cookies in the middle of the month.  The end of the month (April 26th) brings the Rummage Sale.  We appreciate your support in all our endeavors.
